Hastings resident Gloria D. (Bacon) (Norman) Hill, 77, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at her home in Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home in Hastings, Nebraska, with Pastor Paul Knott officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, NE. Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family to be established at a later date. Gloria was born June 1, 1949, to Leslie and Lulu (Landreth) Bacon. She attended Hastings High School and later got her GED. She worked at several different places in town: Chubbyville, Kings Food, McDonald’s, Ponderosa Bowl, and ½ Price Store (which later became Gordman’s); she worked there till they closed. She married Tommy Joe Norman in 1968 and had one son, Anthony. They later divorced. In June of 1994, she married Rick Hill. They were married for 30 years. Gloria was the proud mother of her son, Anthony, and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Family was very important to Gloria, and she treasured the memories made with those she loved.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters. Vesta Bieg, Shirley Horn, Evonee Snyder, Darlene Bacon, Marjorie Stromer; brothers, Leslie Bacon Jr., Raymond Bacon, Gary Bacon, Gordon Bacon; grandson, Tanner Norman; and fur friend Riley.
