Gloria was born on March 22, 1945 in San Diego, California to Dallas and Helen (Tuura) Robertson. At a young age the family moved to the family farm in Elgin, NE. Gloria grew up in Elgin with her three siblings while attending a one room school house throughout elementary school. She graduated from Elgin Highschool and went on to attend St. John’s College in Winfield, KS. where she received a secretarial certification.

Gloria moved to St. Louis to begin her career. It was at church one Sunday where a friendly usher introduced her to her future husband, Paul Joseph Raab. Gloria and Paul married on November 29, 1969. They went on to move throughout the Midwest to follow various job opportunities. They raised three children in three different states.

Gloria worked for many years as a secretary both in private industries and for her church. Her service to her church community was always a main focus of her life, including playing a pump organ for many years at a start-up church in Rolla, MO. Gloria will most be remembered for her life-long involvement with the LWML. She served in both local and national positions through the LWML. She also spent many years volunteering with the Lutheran Braille Workers and Orphan Grain Train.

Gloria is survived by her husband Paul, and their children Sharon (Daniel) Witt, Eric Raab, and Sarah (Geoffrey) Kline. She is also survived by her siblings Kathleen (Larry) Raemakers, Arlene (George) Thietje, and James (Debra) Robertson, and many grandkids, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Dallas and Helen Robertson.
