Gregory P. Hoelck

Hastings resident Gregory P. Hoelck, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Tabitha Prairie Commons, Grand Island, NE.

Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 2 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Craig Clinch officiating. Burial will be done privately with family.  Memorials may be given to the family to be designated at a later date.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Greg was born December 4, 1947, in Grand Island, NE to Ted and Nadean (Scobie) Hoelck. Greg lived in Grand Island until the age of 12. At that time the family moved to Hastings, Ne. where he attended St. Cecilia after graduating he went on to continue his education at Creighton University. After graduating from Creighton he returned home to Hastings to be a part of the family business. Hastings Grain Inspection. He was a good boss to many, he appreciated and greatly enjoyed his work family .  Greg loved to spend his free time golfing, betting on and watching sporting events as well as traveling, especially to Vegas and Rancho Mirage CA. If you happened to be a stranger sitting next to him on a plane by the time you landed you were a stranger no longer.  He looked forward to  his weekly breakfasts with his friends.  

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Nadean Hoelck. 

He is survived by siblings and their spouses:
