Helen Lewis

Hastings resident, Helen V. Lewis, 83, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Monday, June 19, 2017; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 20, 2017; at 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Jeremy Hazuka and Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Monday, June 19, 2017 at the funeral home and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools (St. Cecilia High School Endowment Fund).

Helen was born June 22, 1933 in Carroll, Iowa to Ray T. & Josephine (Wieland) Odendahl. She graduated from High School in Auburn, Iowa in 1950. Helen married Larry L. Lewis on June 15, 1954 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Auburn, Iowa. Helen was a member of East Valley Knitters and Rosary Makers. She was a homemaker, loved to knit and garden, and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles E. Odendahl and sister, Viola Sporleder.
