Helen Spooner

Hastings resident, Helen M. Spooner, 61, of 1408 N. St. Joseph, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Perkins Pavilion.

Rosary will be Friday, June 27, 2008; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel.Burial will be Saturday, June 28, 2008; 10:00 A.M. in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska. Memorial service will be Saturday, June 28, 2008; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Mr. Andrew Heaslip officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2008; 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. & Friday, June 27, 2008; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to the family.

Ms. Spooner was born December 26, 1946 in Lexington, Nebraska to LaVern & Margaret (Condon) Spooner. She graduated from Santiago High School, Santa Ana, California. She moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1993 worked for Dana Corporation and later as a bookkeeper for Quirk Land & Cattle Company. She attended Central Community College and received her Associates Degree in Business.

Ms. Spooner was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Arnold Machloch and a sister, Judy Kearney.
