Herman Gartner

Hastings resident, Herman Gartner, 95, of 503 Lane 'F', Good Samaritan Village, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, December 9, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil, Nebraska with Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2006; Noon-9pm, Friday, December 8, 2006; 9am-9pm at the funeral home and Saturday, December 9, 2006; 1 hr. prior to service at the church.

Mr. Gartner was born September 5, 1911 to Peter H. & Maggie (Trauernicht) Gartner in Adams County, Nebraska. On December 15, 1932, he married Gladys Fraser and she preceded him in death on October 5, 1992. He managed the Pauline Elevator, Pauline, Nebraska and was also a farmer. He was a lifelong Adams County resident and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil, Nebraska.

Mr. Gartner was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gladys, one daughter, Eleanor Dean, two sons, Ernest Gartner & John Gartner, one grandson, Steven Dean, five brothers and three sisters.
