Hastings resident, Ian Parry, 65, of #63 Kingston Dr., died Monday, December 29, 2003 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 9, 1938 in Cottage Hospital, Urmston, Manchester, England to Thomas William & Annie (Whittaker) Parry. He was raised and educated in Sale, Manchester, England. He also attended school for die cutting. He farmed and later worked for a folding carton company. He married Barbara Pedley on March 14, 1964 and they later divorced in 1990. He came from England to Norfolk, Virginia in 1972 and worked for a folding carton company. He moved to Hastings, Nebraska in February 1992. He worked for Great Plains Packing and retired in 2002. He was president of the Eagles Aerie #592. He was active in pool and dart leagues.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
