Irene Kersey

Former Hastings resident, Irene F. Kersey, 93, died, Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Autumn House Hospice, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 24, 2012; 1:00 P.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings with Pastor Tony Dawson officiating. Memorials may be given to Autumn House Hospice, Lincoln, Nebraska. There will be no visitation.

Irene was born May 14, 1919 in Webster County, Nebraska to Frank & Addie (Harpham) Cling. She grew up in Webster County and lived most of her life in Hastings and Lincoln. She married Kenneth J. Kersey on March 6, 1943; he preceded her in death on November 10, 1989. Irene was a homemaker and a licensed abstractor for Nebraska Title. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church, Hastings and St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth J. Kersey; and sister, Gertrude Nelson.
