James Kort

Assumption resident, James M. "Jim" Kort, 51, of 12725 West Assumption Road, died, Monday, October 9, 2006 at his home.

Rosary will be Thursday, October 12, 2006; 7:30 P.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 13, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Thomas Au officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Assumption, Nebraska. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2006; 1pm-9pm, Thursday, October 12, 2006; 9am-5pm, Butler-Volland Funeral Home, Friday, October 13, 2006; 1 hr. prior at the church. Memorials to the family.

Mr. Kort was born October 26, 1954 in Washington, Kansas to Norman & Elizabeth (Goedert) Kort. He graduated from Roseland High School in 1972. On November 10, 1973, he married Marcy Parr at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland, Nebraska. He was a mechanic for T & L Irrigation for 32 years and a member of Assumption Catholic Church.

Mr. Kort was preceded in death by his father, Norman.
