James Sykora

Deweese resident, James E. "Jim" Sykora, 58, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Sunday, July 23, 2017; 7:00 P.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 24, 2017; 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Deweese with Father Thomas Schultes officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Assumption Cemetery, Deweese. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday, July 23, 2017; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Deweese, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Jim was born January 28, 1959, in Superior, Nebraska to Leo & Rose (Hlavac) Sykora. He married Jody Muehlich on August 22, 1987. Jim was a farmer in the area for many years and was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Deweese.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law; and father-in-law.
