Janet Kopisch

Hastings resident, Janet "Jan" L. Kopisch, 67, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society - Grand Island Village, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, April 6, 2015; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Saturday, April 4, 2015; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Jan was born July 28, 1947 in Davenport, Nebraska to Ernest & Fern (Nelson) Penner. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1965. Jan married James L. Kopisch on August 10, 1974; he preceded her in death on August 20, 2009. She worked at Wells Fargo and Five Points Bank until her retirement.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Kopisch; and brother-in-law, Larry Lange.
