Jean Smith

Hastings resident, Jean S. Smith, 72, of 1308 No. Baltimore, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at her home.

Services will be Wednesday, January 9, 2008; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Alan Davis officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8, 2008; 9A.M - 9P.M. & Wednesday, January 9, 2008, 1 hr. prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice.

Mrs. Smith was born August 24, 1935 in Lone Star, Texas, to John Calvin & Alyce Lucille (Chambles) Setzer. On April 5, 1957, she married Donald R. Smith and he preceded her in death on March 28,

2000. She was a retired secretary from Marshalltown Instruments. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and a sister, Kay.
