Jeanne Rauterkus

August 20, 1918 — June 8, 1946

Hastings resident, Jeanne L. Rauterkus, 87, of 710 Circle 'B' Good Samaritan Village, died Monday, June 5, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Wednesday, June 7, 2006; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 8, 2006; 9:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Rauterkus was born August 20, 1918 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Matthew & Anna (Kelly) Lennon. She graduated from St. Francis Academy in Council Bluffs and attended business school in Omaha, Nebraska. On June 8, 1946, she married Paul J. Rauterkus in Council Bluffs and he preceded her in death on September 14, 2004. They moved from Council Bluffs to Hastings, Nebraska in 1950. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

Mrs. Rauterkus was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul, two sisters and one brother.
