Born on October 19, 1981, in Minden to Charlie Trausch and Terri Christensen Trausch, Jeremy’s youth was spent helping on both family farms and participating in general mischief with his sister Julie – something that continued throughout their adult years. When Jenna arrived, Julie & Jeremy, in the tradition that only older siblings could uphold, would often annoy her with their sense of wit and their shenanigans, mostly because she was the most mature one of the bunch.
Jeremy spent 17 years at Van Kirk Bros. Contracting in Sutton, where he turned his love for playing in the dirt and heavy equipment into a career. He met his wife, Jessica, in 2009; they were married in 2013 and he gained two stepchildren, Cheyenne & Eric. He loved to share and his talent for never having a dull moment continued with his own family as well.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Jessica; and his stepchildren, Cheyenne and Eric Fielder of Hastings; his parents Charlie & Karla Trausch of Holstein. He also leaves behind his sisters, Julie of West Des Moines and Jenna of Holstein, and his nephew Linkin of Holstein - along with a massive crew of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss his grit and his grin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Terri; his maternal grandparents, Larry and Jean Christensen; and his paternal grandparents, Bill and Marcella Trausch.
In honor of Jeremy’s style, casual attire is recommended—he wouldn't want you in a suit any more than he’d want to be in one. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for donation to Valley Hope.
