Jerome Wailes

Hastings resident, Jerome S. 'Bud' Wailes, 76, of 1615 N. St. Joseph, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family.

Mr. Wailes was born September 4, 1932 in Hastings, Nebraska to Charles Ernest & Philomena Patricia (Franey) Wailes. He graduated from high school in Wyoming and moved back to Hastings. He married Mary Anderson on August 21, 1954 in Hastings, Nebraska. He worked for Adams County Roads, was a truck driver for Red & White Transfer and later at the City of Hastings until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of Four Rivers Sportsman's Club and a past member of the Elks.

Mr. Wailes was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles & Robert Wailes and a sister, Gwen Romay.
