She was born the youngest of seven in Kearney, Nebraska, to Oliver and Gertrude Soucie. On November 21, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, Donald Jarosik, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love.
Jerri loved the Lord and cherished her family and friends. She was kind, forgiving, and always ready to serve others. Above all, Jerri was a devoted wife and mother who poured her heart into raising her ten children with love, patience, and godly guidance.
Jerri was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Gertrude Soucie; husband, Donald; her son-in-law, Greg Gleason; two brothers, two sisters, and their spouses.
She will be remembered by her children Sherri (Chuck) Zach, Linda (Russ) Thaut, Kevin (Debbie) Jarosik, Lori (Tim) Farmer, Michelle (Greg) Gleason, Donnalene (Charles) Gleason, Tamra (Kendall) Hartley, Troy (Laura) Jarosik, Trent Jarosik, and Amy (Troy) Reed; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; brothers LeRoy (late Thelma) Soucie and Darrel (Vivian) Soucie; sisters-in-law Patricia (LeRoy) Svoboda and Barb (Ed) Heinze; brother-in-law David (Marsha) Jarosik; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who became like family.
While our hearts are heavy with grief, we hold to the hope we have in Christ, trusting in His promise of eternal life and the comfort of His love. Jerri’s legacy of faith, love, strength, and kindness will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
