Jerry Lee Peterson Sr.

Hastings resident Jerry Lee Peterson Sr., 83, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE. 

Memorial Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Chad Powers officiating. Private family burial will be at Clay Center Cemetery in Clay Center. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Jerry was born November 4, 1940, in Clay County, NE to Eugene H. Peterson and Orva M. (Saathoff) Peterson. He received his education at Clay Center High School. He furthered his education for one semester at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Jerry worked the majority of his life as a contractor. Jerry married Diane Bauer on May 10, 1980. Jerry was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Jerry was preceded in death by his son, William, and daughters, Julie and Christi.
