Joseph Walsh

Joseph T. Walsh, 92, of 1123 W. 7th St., died Friday, September 6, 2002 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Sunday, September 8, 2002; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, September 9, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.

Joseph T. Walsh was born July 1, 1910 in Harvard, Nebraska to Thomas & Elizabeth (Buckley) Walsh. He was in the United States Army during WWII from January 4, 1943 to November 26, 1945, serving overseas in the Battle of the Bulge and the Invasion of Normandy. He married Julietta Mousel in Juniata, Nebraska on June 18, 1949. He was a heavy equipment operator for 27 years for the City of Hastings. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and its Men's Club, V.F.W., and a past member of the Eagles. He was a life long area resident.

Joseph T. Walsh was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marie Donivant.
