Juanita Buffett

Hastings resident, Juanita R. Buffett, 81, of 935 South Kansas, died Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Friday, March 13, 2009; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. Judith Allen officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, 2009; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Thursday, March 12, 2009; 9:00 A.M.- 9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. & Friday, March 13, 2009 9:00 A.M. until service time. Memorials may be given to First Christian Disciples of Christ Church.

Mrs. Buffett was born April 6, 1927 to George & Bernice (Fowler) Barta at Inland, Nebraska. She attended West Inland, Harvard and Hastings High Schools. On February 1, 1943, she married Robert D. 'Bob' Buffett in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a housekeeper for various Hotels & Motels. She was a lifelong area resident and a member of First Christian Disciples of Christ Church and a past Girl Scout Leader.

Mrs. Buffett was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Carolyn Wynn.
