Judy K. Kissinger

Hastings resident Judy K. Kissinger, 80, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at her home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 3, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Kathy Uldrich officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation with the family present will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 2, and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Judy was born February 17, 1945, in Hastings, NE to Jim and Elsie (Rutt) Stark. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1963. She married the love of her life, Jim Kissinger, on July 25, 1965, and they were married for 59 years; he preceded her in death on September 29, 2024. Judy worked at Mode O’Day for a short period of time and babysat for friends and family for many years.

Judy was a cub scout leader, enjoyed camping, reading, baking, and loved to talk and tell very detailed stories. She helped raise her nephew, Scott Kissinger.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Kissinger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph & Edith (Cox) Kissinger; sister and brother-in-law, Geri & Donald Streck; brother-in-law, Jack Cummings; and brother, Jim Stark.
