Justin Asmus

Former Hastings resident, Justin K. Asmus, 38, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 at his home in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, February 20, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, Hastings with Pastor Don Canady officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings at a later date. Memorials may be given to Start Over Rover or American Legion. Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2016; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Justin was born November 5, 1977 in Hastings, Nebraska to Dennis & Julie (Hopp) Asmus. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1996 and University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2004. Justin married Judy Kempf on June 30, 2012. He worked at Lincoln Correctional Center as a case worker. Justin played baseball for the American Legion.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents; aunt, Bobbie Hopp; and uncle, Keith Asmus.
