Keith D. Woodard

Hastings resident Keith D. Woodard, 61, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.    

Memorial Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 29, at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hastings. Burial with military rites by Hastings Military Honor Guard will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hastings. A book signing will be 1-4 p.m. Thursday, December 28, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Keith was born July 8, 1962 in Hastings, NE to Carlie Cleveland and raised by Helen Archer. He graduated from Hastings Senior High School and attended Hastings College. Keith served in the U.S. Navy from May 26, 1981 to November 1, 1985.

Keith was employed as a firefighter, EMT, paramedic, and Sheriff. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Glenvil. Keith loved riding horses, dancing, drawing, range shooting, fishing, camping, and exploring and seeing the beauty of nature.

Keith was preceded in death by his mother; sisters, Eruma Peterson and Carol Dack; and brother, Butch Woodard.
