La Rinda M. (Peterson) Chase

Hastings resident La Rinda M. (Peterson) Chase, 62, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Rosary will be at 10 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 25, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Craig Clinch officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. La Rinda was born on March 13, 1963, in Hastings, NE, she was the daughter of Larry C. and Bonita "Bonnie" (Goedert) Peterson. A 1981 graduate of Hastings Senior High School, La Rinda went on to pursue her passion for caring for others by attending nursing school in Kearney. She dedicated her life to healthcare, working as a traveling nurse — a role she took great pride in. Her compassion, dedication, and deep love for her patients left lasting impressions wherever she went.

On June 4, 2022, La Rinda married Michael Chase. La Rinda had a passion for travel, and she cherished every opportunity to explore new places and create memories. La Rinda had a deep affection for animals, especially her beloved dog, and a heart big enough to embrace everyone around her. Her love for her family was steadfast and true, and her warm, caring spirit will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

La Rinda was preceded in death by her father and brother, Gregg S. Peterson.
