Former Hastings resident LaVern "Vern" Hartman, 89, of Davenport, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Hebron Hospital in Hebron.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hastings. There will be no viewing. Remains will be cremated.

Memorials may be given to family's choice.
