LaVeta Rempe

Former Hastings resident, LaVeta Rempe, 91, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Thursday, September 14, 2017; 6:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 15, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be Friday, September 15, 2017; 2:00 P.M. in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorials may be given to LaVeta Rempe Memorial Fund. Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2017; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

LaVeta was born July 3, 1926, in Lawrence, Nebraska to Anton J. & Rose Mary (Blume) Buschkoetter. She married Alphonse H. Rempe on April 20, 1948; he preceded her in death on October 2, 2000. LaVeta was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was a dedicated wife and loving mom and grandma.

LaVeta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alphonse H. Rempe; sisters, Verena Buescher and Irene Hoelting; and brothers, Leonard Buschkoetter, LeRoy Buschkoetter, and Robert Buschkoetter.
