Hastings resident, Lawrence H. Kelley, 70, of 1137 S. Hastings Ave., died Thursday, August 12, 2004 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital

Memorial services will be Tuesday, August 17, 2004; 10:00 A.M. at Roper & Sons Funeral Home, 4300 'O' St., Lincoln, Nebraska. Private family burial at a later date.

Mr. Kelley was born June 11, 1934 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Merwyn C. & Kathryn (Wright) Kelley. He graduated from High School in 1952 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He married Margaret Harris on December 5, 1953 and they later divorced. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and was discharged in 1954. He held several government jobs in Lincoln, Nebraska, including Executive Secretary of the Nebraska State Motor Vehicle Dealers Licensing Board, before moving to Hastings, Nebraska in 1990.

Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial may be given to Adams County Cancer Society
