Margaret Marie Foote

Hastings resident Margaret Marie Foote, 58, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society, Grand Island, NE.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 2, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Jeremy Hazuka officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. A book signing will be 1-7 p.m. with the family present 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family. 

Margaret was born on April 27, 1967, in Augusta, GA, to Donovan Jr. and Kathleen (Moran) Foote. She graduated from Hastings High School and later earned her nursing degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1996. Devoted to the care and well-being of others, she dedicated her career to nursing, where her compassion and gentle spirit touched countless lives.

A faithful member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Margaret lived her life with deep love and generosity. She had a special passion for music and found great joy in spending time with her friends and family—especially her beloved grandchildren, who brought endless light into her life.

Margaret will be remembered for her kind heart, selfless nature, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother; son, Kameron Foote; and sister, Julia Foote-Mleczko.
