Margaret Maxine Neeman

Hastings resident Margaret Maxine Neeman, 98, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE. 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 6, at First United Methodist Church in Hastings with Pastor Lance Clay officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 5-7 p.m. with family present at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. 

Margaret was born March 28, 1926, to Arthur & Edna (Swigart) Earl in Nelson Nebraska. She was the youngest of three girls. She graduated from Pauline High School and went on to receive her teaching certificate from Hastings College. Margaret married Robert Neeman on June 20, 1948. After marriage, she stopped teaching to be a farm wife. 

Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. She also loved to make pies and enjoyed canning. In her younger years, she would bowl with her husband. 

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her 2 sisters; Ruth and Ila Beth.
