Margaret Phillips

Former area resident, Margaret M. Phillips, 99, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at Legacy Estates Assisted Living, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 22, 2011; 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland, with Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Assumption, NE. Visitation will be Monday, June 20, 2011; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 21, 2011; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established.

Margaret was born March 26, 1912 in Adams County, Nebraska to John & Anna (Pittz) Mangers. She married Ray Phillips on April 11, 1934 at Assumption Catholic Church, Assumption, Nebraska; he preceded her in death on May 9, 2000. She was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Phillips; and three brothers.
