Marie Louise Kallaway

Marie Louise Kallaway, 85, passed away in her sleep Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at The Kensington, in Hastings, NE where she has lived for the past five years.

Marie Louise was born on July 1, 1940, in Gävle, Sweden to Sigvard and Rut Hägg with siblings Börje and Mats. Marie Louise was married to Robert (Bob) Kallaway her whole life prior to his death in 2019. Marie Louise was a strong and independent woman who traveled the world with Bob, living a bohemian life and chasing their dreams on the sailing vessel Hobby Lady that they built for the family in 1979 and lived on for many years. They owned and operated several small businesses, including St. John Hardware on the island of St. John in the U. S. Virgin Islands from 1986-1995.

We will miss my Mom and Dad greatly, they lived their lives on their own terms.

SURVIVORS: Kristian and Karina, and three grandchildren.

There will be no services held.
