Marshall Krieger

Lifelong Hastings resident, Marshall H. Krieger, 88, of 809 North Shore Drive, died, Saturday, December 16, 2006. Memorial services will be Friday, December 22, 2006; 11:00 A.M. at the Hastings Masonic Center, 4th and Hastings Avenue. Rev. Dr. W. T. Israel and Rev. Earl Higgins will officiate. Private family inurnment will be held in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Book signing will be Monday through Thursday 9A.M. to 5P.M. at Butler Volland Funeral Home. Memorials to Nebraska Masonic Foundation.

Mr. Krieger was born June 23, 1918 in Hastings, Nebraska to Henry C. & Emma M. (Traut) Krieger. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1936 and attended Hastings College and Oregon State University. He served in the United States Navy from January 20, 1942 until October 4, 1945. On October 28, 1945, he married Marcella H. Grosshans in Sutton, Nebraska. He was an electrical contractor and founded Krieger Electric on May 1, 1950. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and his Masonic affiliations were: Past Master and 60 year member Mid-West Lodge #317 A.F. & A.M., Hastings Valley Scottish Rite, 33 degree Honorary, Tehama Temple, York Rite, Acacia Chapter #39 O.E.S., Hastings Court #152 Royal Order of the Jesters, and Shrine Greeters. He was a member of American Legion Post #11, and V.F.W. Post #1346.

Mr. Krieger was preceded in death by his parents.
