Max Park

Hastings resident, Max Park, 85, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Tuesday, August 29, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, August 28, 2006; 9am-9pm, Tuesday, August 29, 2006; 9am until service time.

Mr. Park was born June 14, 1921 in Hastings, Nebraska to Winfred H. & Charlotte (Linder) Park. He attended Hastings High School and married Josephine Stamer on September 23, 1944. She preceded him in death on January 3,1998. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII from September 1, 1942 - November 29, 1945. He was a truck driver for Red & White Transfer. He was a life long resident and a member of American Legion #11. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.

Mr. Park was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Josephine, two brothers and two grandchildren.

Charlotte & Dick Woodard - Hastings, NE
