M. Elaine Ackerman

Hastings resident M. Elaine Ackerman, 83, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Hastings with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Juniata Cemetery in Juniata. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday with family present at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Elaine Ackerman was born January 31, 1935, to Francis and Amolia Kimbrough in Geneva, NE. She married Reinhart “Reiny” Ackerman on February 8, 1953, to this union were born Ronald, Kristie, Julie, and Paula.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers, James and Bruce.
