Hastings resident Mike Kirby, 59, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Premier Estates in Kenesaw.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2026, at Livingston Butler Vollnd Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Goff officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.

Memorials may be given to the family for his daughters’ educational fund. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

Mike was born May 19, 1966, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Eugene and Nancy Ellenwood. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1985. Mike loved playing tennis while in high school. He was accompanied by many, many friends whom he got in a bit of trouble with in his younger years. He loved cars, especially his 69’ Pontiac Firebird that his dad helped build with him.
