Milton L. Lisius

Juniata resident Milton L. Lisius, 87, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, NE.  

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, at Faith Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery, rural Juniata. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to Concordia Cemetery or Our Place After School Care. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Milton was born August 24, 1935, in Hastings, NE to Rudolph and Eva (Koestler) Lisius. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1953. Milton married Velma Marie Kleier on April 24, 1955, at Christ Lutheran Church; she preceded him in death on September 27, 2022.

Milton farmed in the area for many years. He was a member of various Adams County Boards, Juniata CO-OP Board, Concordia Cemetery Board, and various church positions at Christ Lutheran Church.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Velma Marie Lisius; son, Lonnie Lisius; sisters, Ruth Katzberg and Esther Tarney; brothers, Edward Lisius and Ronald Lisius; and several nieces and nephews.
