Nikki Konen

Juniata resident, Nikki J. (Hansen) Konen, 68, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings.

Rosary will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017; 10:00 A.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 A.M. at Assumption Catholic Church, Assumption with Father Jonathan Haschke officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Assumption Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials may be given to Start Over Rover. Book signing will be Monday, July 3, 2017; 10:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Nikki was born March 5, 1949, in Hastings, Nebraska to Wendell Hansen & Edna (Bantz) Hansen-Strasburg. She attended Bladen High School and married James Konen, Jr. on September 4, 1965, at Assumption Catholic Church, Assumption, Nebraska. Nikki owned and operated 3-Point Liquor before she retired.

She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. Nikki enjoyed all of God's creations including yard work, her pets, camping, gardening, nature, knick-knacks and she loved spending time with her family.

Nikki was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harlan Hansen; and sister, Carla McLeod.
