Philip "Phil" G. Fast

Hastings resident Philip G. “Phil” Fast, 67, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Mary Lanning Health Care in Hastings, NE.

Services will be at, 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2026, at First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. with the family present 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Philip was born January 16, 1959, in Hastings, NE, to William and Iona (Kuhlman) Fast. Phil graduated from Adams Central High School in 1977. He worked as a mason brick layer right out of high school for the family business, Fast Construction until it dissolved in 1982. Phil took great pride in his laborious work he did. Phil married Pamela S. Fast on July 13, 1985. To this union they had one son Derek. The couple later separated. Phil loved his family and his grandchildren were the highlight of his life. He enjoyed fishing in his free time and went any opportunity he had.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Fast; and former spouse, Pamela Fast.
