Phyllis Rutt

Hastings resident, Phyllis Bernice (Frye) Rutt, 93, passed away at her home on Saturday, February 27, 2016 with family by her side.

Services will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016; 1:30 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Gerald L. Schwab officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 1, 2016; 5:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. with family present at the funeral home.

Phyllis was born on April 5, 1922 in Doniphan Nebraska to William and Virgil (Hyatt) Frye. She married Curtis Rutt Sr. on November 29, 1937; Curtis passed away July 21, 1972. Phyllis was employed by MLMH for 15 years as the head of housekeeping at the Mary Lanning dorm, and retired at the age of 70.

Phyllis was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters; parents, William & Virgil Frye; husband, Curtis Rutt Sr.; one son-in-law, Edward Wademan; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren.
