Randall Lee Griess, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He was 74 years old. Born on June 6, 1951, in Sutton, Nebraska, Randall lived a life full of love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community.

He took immense pride in being a grandfather to Zander, Zayla, Brantlee, Madelyn, Johnathan and Bo Griess. He was always ensuring that family time was a priority. His love for his family knew no bounds, and his presence will be profoundly missed by all.

A graduate of Grand Island Senior High, class of 1969, Randall served in the United States Air Force as an E4 Senior Airman from 1971 to 1974, exemplifying the spirit of service and commitment to his country. After his military service, he dedicated his professional life to the community, working at Case New Holland and later at Nebraska Truck Center. His work ethic and dedication were evident in every role he took on.

Randall had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, often spending his free time enjoying nature with his family and his beloved dog Albert. He cherished moments spent with loved ones, reminding everyone that family time was where happiness truly resides.

He is survived by his brother, Curtis K. (Dixie) Griess, sister Ruby (Gary) Jerman, and sister Kristie (Lynn) Sevenker, as well as his brother-in-law Tellus (Lori) Waddell and sister-in-law Rose (Rodger) Carlson.
