Rhena Shutt

April 14, 1916 — May 10, 1935

Rhena C. Shutt, 93, of Hastings, Nebraska died Monday, April 27, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

Services will be Thursday, April 30, 2009; 11:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 9am - 9pm and Thursday, April 30, 2009 one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Good Samaritan Village.

Rhena C. Shutt was born April 14, 1916 in Becker, Minnesota to George M. & Nellie (Nelson) Voss. She moved to the Carleton - Hebron, Nebraska area and graduated from Hebron High School in 1933. She married Rei V. Shutt on May 10, 1935 and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1987. They lived in Thayer County, Shelton, Callaway and Friend before moving to Hastings in 1948. She worked for Mode O'Day and retired after twenty years. She was a homemaker and a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and WELCA. She enjoyed volunteering at the Good Samaritan Village Senior Center.

Rhena C. Shutt was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rei V. Shutt and a daughter Julia A.True.
