Richard Friend

Hastings resident, Richard I. Friend, 40, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at Saint Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Memorial service will be Thursday, May 8, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at All Saints Chapel, Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, Nebraska, with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Private family interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.

Richard was born February 6, 1974 in Hastings, Nebraska to Jack C. & Cheryl L. (Ballard) Friend. He married Rachel K. Crawford on July 10, 2009 at Sunset Beach, North Carolina. Richard was a self-employed contractor and was a life-long resident of Hastings.
