Richard L. "Rick" HIll

Hastings resident Richard L. “Rick” Hill, 70, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.   

Memorial Services with Masonic/Eastern Star memorial tribute will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. There will be no burial at this time. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Rick was born July 6, 1953, in Genoa, NE, to Richard D. and Virginia (Adkins) Hill. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1971. Rick married Gloria D. Bacon on June 3, 1995, at the First United Methodist Church in Hastings. 

Rick was a salesman for various businesses in Hastings. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #317. Rick enjoyed John Wayne, sports, race cars, and bowling. He loved to read gun magazines. 

Rick was preceded in death by his mother; step-father, Russell Staton; and grandparents, Sam & Luella Adkins.
