Hastings resident, Robert “Bob” R. Buffett, 102, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Mary Lanning Health Care.

Services will be Saturday, March 14, 2026, 10:30 a.m. at First Christian Church in Hastings, NE. with Chaplain Lisa Ewald officiating. Burial will be at the Parkview Cemetery in Hastings with Military Rites by Hastings Military Honor Guard. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. with the family present 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Butler Volland Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to First Christian Church. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Robert was born October 1, 1923, in Hastings, NE, to David C. and Etta Mae (Snyder) Buffett. He attended Hastings High School. He married Juanita R. Barta on February 1, 1943 in Hastings Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from February 4, 1943 to January 9, 1946.

Robert was the parts manager at Laird Motors for 50 years retiring in 2000 and was a member of First Christian Church in Hastings.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita; daughter, Carolyn Wynn; and brother, Floyd Buffett.
