Ronald Breckner

Hastings resident Ronald D. Breckner, 51, of 911 Washington, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at his home.

Memorial services will be Saturday, August 7, 2004; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Neil Vik officiating. Private family interment in Parkview Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Breckner was born September 26, 1952 in Hastings, Nebraska to Richard D. & Doris E. (Portenier) Breckner. He was a wrestler at Hastings High and graduated from Hastings High School in 1970. He worked at Friends in Hastings, Minden and Grand Island, Kully Pipe & Steel Supply, Friends Motor Truck owned and operated Breck's Bar, Blue Hill, Nebraska. He also worked for Roger's Automotive Finishes in Michigan. He coached Legion Baseball in Grand Island, Nebraska, enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing pool and raced stock cars and drag racing.

Mr. Breckner was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Rick Breckner.
