Ronald Granlund

Hastings resident Ronald R. "Ron" Granlund, 62, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Service is 2 p.m. Friday, February 9, at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers and Rev. Scott Evans officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church where Ron was a regular attendant. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Ron was born in Hastings on January 23, 1956, to Richard A. & LeAnna M. Granlund. He resided at Mid-Nebraska Individual Services Housing since 2002, where he met so many special friends and staff members. He considered everyone there a part of his family.

Ron was the light and joy of so many friends and strangers alike. He truly lived by the word of the Bible, which he often read. He enjoyed fishing, country, and religious music and touched so many lives by just entertaining others.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; aunts and uncles.
