Former Juniata resident Sharon K. Uden, 86, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at Heritage at College View in Hastings, NE .
Services will be at 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 1, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Juniata, with Pastor Darren Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Concordia Cemetery in Juniata, NE. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m., with the family present 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or Concordia Cemetery. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Sharon was born April 11, 1940, in Ayr, NE, to Edward & Anetta (Heedt) Muhleisen. She graduated from Blue Hill High School in 1958. She married Ivan Uden on August 23, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Hill, Nebraska.
Sharon was a devoted farm wife and homemaker, dedicating her days to caring for her family and tending to the rhythms of rural life. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and was a big Elvis fan. A woman of strong faith, Sharon was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church. She was actively involved in the Ladies Guild and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML), where she formed lasting friendships. Her quiet generosity and steady presence were a blessing to many. As a member of her church quilting group, she poured care and craftsmanship into each piece she created. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering faith, and her deep love for her family and community.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Uden; Sister and Brother-in-law, Verlene & Hugh Slama; Brother-in-law, Dallas Jugert; Sister-in-law, Delma Uden.
