Sherrill A. Mesecher

Hastings resident Sherrill A. Mesecher, 85, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Bryan West Medical Center, Lincoln, NE.    

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Hastings with Pastor Paul Ozbun officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Clay Center Cemetery in Clay Center. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to Lutheran World Relief. Sherrill was born November 3, 1938 in Peoria, IL to Carl and Alberta (Breedlove) DeBoer. She graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL.  Sherrill married Wayne Mesecher Sr. on August 26, 1956 at First English Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL; he preceded her in death on February 6, 1997.

Sherrill was a dedicated mother and grandmother, a very talented artist, and a servant of the Lord. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. 

 Sherrill was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Wayne Mesecher Sr.
