Shirley Hess

Juniata resident, Shirley M. Hess, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Tuesday, February 7, 2017; 11:00 A.M. at All Saints Chapel - Good Samaritan Village, Hastings with Chaplain John Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2017; 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present at the funeral home and one hour prior to service at the chapel.

Shirley was born July 21, 1933 in Wichita, Kansas to Arthur & Margaret (Kopf) Foster. She married Donnie R. Hess on January 17, 1953 in Huntsville, Arkansas; he preceded her in death on October 10, 2014. Shirley drove a school bus and was employed by Dutton-Lainson Company for many years. She loved playing bingo and going to casinos.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donnie R. Hess; and brother, Daryl Foster.
