Sirinha Nguyen

Hastings resident Sirinha Nguyen, 47, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.    

Service will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, February 3, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings. Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. with family present 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 2, at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. 

Sirinha was born on May 5, 1976, in Pakse, Laos to Khammouane “Tony” and Phetsamone (Bouaphane) Philaphandet, and married Vu Nguyen on March 9, 2015. 

Sirinha graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1995. She had four children, Destiny in 1994, Michelle in 1995, Madison in 2014, and Mason in 2016. Sirinha was a kind and loving person. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and she was always there when you needed her. 

Sirinha is survived by her husband Vu; children, Destiny, Michelle, Madison, and Mason; parents, Khammouane and Phetsamone of Hastings, NE; siblings, Boupha and Theresa of Grand Island, NE; one grandson, Elijah; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
