Terry Lynn Just

Hastings resident Terry Lynn Just, 62, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, at Berean Bible Church in Hastings with Pastor Tevin Eddy officiating. There will be no viewing, visitation or burial. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. The service will be live-streamed on Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home’s website. Terry was born on October 9, 1962, in Red Cloud, NE, Terry was the son of Rudolph and Shirley (Stokes) Just. He graduated from Red Cloud High School in 1982 and went on to build a life filled with love, service, and devotion to family and community.

On June 21, 2001, Terry married Cristy Zubrod, and together they shared many wonderful years. He attended the Berean Bible Church and a dedicated employee at Thermo King, where he worked as a line worker.

Terry had a deep love for people and spent much of his time giving back. He was a proud member of the Eagles Club and served as a coach for the Special Olympics, where his passion for helping others truly shone. His commitment to the athletes he worked with left a lasting impact on everyone involved.

In his free time, Terry could be found cheering on his favorite teams — the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Kansas City Chiefs — enjoying a round of golf, or spending cherished time with his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

Terry’s life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Scott Just; and son, Zach Schriner.
